(picture above is of my first attempt at mince pies…EVER!)
Because I am awful at keeping secrets I am going to tell you how to make these amazing pies of love exactly how I made them .
what you will need
- ready rolled short crust pastry (I ain’t no pro)
- mixed fruit
- honey
- cinnamon
- ginger
- orange and lemon shavings citrus is gunna be cold this winter
- circle pastry cutters
what I did step by step because celeb chefs elongate EVERYTHINGGGGGGG
- Get a bowl and some trays that have dips in them…
- Put all of the filling thing in like this… fruit in. BAM , Shavings in .BAM. dash of ginger and cinnamon . DOUBLE BAM…. lots of honey in to squeeze it all together.
- Get Down with your chef self and go all out . hands in and squelch it all about.
- wash hands because these next steps probably would of been better to be done first.
- roll out pastry cut circles and press them in the trays like little pots of christmas joy .
- spoon in your amazing filling (not too much tho else people complain about the mass amount of mince…)
- put a hat on them by cutting another load of circles to form the hats and press the edges of the hat and the case together
- put them in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 25 minuets
- take them out and sprinkle some icing sugar on them
- eat them because you can !
that’s how I made these beautiful creations who needs to be a professional when you can make pies like these ?!
I would love to know any other methods of making them that are similar and as easy as mine.
Merry Christmas!!
