About Me

It all started about 8 years ago when I was 13 ,on christmas morning when I woke up to a mobile disco as a present of my parents. At first I was confused and a bit scared to the fact they started be up with a small business as a teenager , But it  also brought me My love of events throughout the years I did it.

My name Is Chloe I am Currently Studying Media and Communications at Birmingham City University ,UK. Media Is something that I have always been interested from a young age  wanting to be a part of the event’s Industry. I have had some experience organizing events the past few years working for marketing companies and a small wedding Venue,as well as valued experience at luxury exent company stones events, and award winning wedding venue ;from the hudson’s heritage awards, Iscoyd Park.

I have had my own djing/mobile disco since the age of 13 which I enjoy and I think this is where my want to be in the events industry spurs from. as I have been involved In so many different events myself being a Dj , from childrens parties to weddings ,milestone Birthdays , conventions ,carnivals, student  and street parties. From Djing I got involved with radio which became my point of study at collage.

In the start of my media Studies I Started in radio  where I had a request show on  Thursday nights show ;At your request, since September 2011 here I ran the desk and visit the wards to collect requests off the patients and tell them about the show I present. As well as having a request show I have helped on outside broadcasts and charity events with Anker helping out with a range of different jobs and roles.

Through university my love of events took over again and is now what i am basing my degree of gaining experience with many companies always putting my all into my time with them.

recently I have worked for Cellar trends,as a brand activator, where I go to different venues promoting different brands of alcohol. I do this by informing the public about who they are and what the alcohols key messages are along side having fun at the events. I have to converse with a lot of people I don’t know at work and engage with them to create a good rapport with potential customers. I also got chance to work on the BBC’s good food show Which was brilliant experience and gave me another angle on the industry.

At the moment I am working part part time at Nettle Hill a small countryside wedding and event venue that prides itself on its quirky and vintage stamp it puts on everything I have only been with them a while but I am finding it very valuable to see how they work and to develop my skills alongside them.
